Video Converter – Converts Video Signals to Various Formats Depending Upon Nature of Display Device
A video converter is used to convert video signals which are in a format compatible with a specific type of display. Depending upon the type of display format needed, a particular converter is used. There are various formats such as S-Video, VGA, DVI-I and DVI-D etc. While a DVI-D to VGA converts computers digital visual interface signals to analog, the VGA to DVI-D does the opposite by converting a PCs VGA signal to digital. The former is mostly used to connect computers to the older televisions and projectors. They specifically convert a digital signal into VGA video, without loss of data. The signals can then be viewed on any CRT monitors, analog systems as well as televisions with VGA connections.

Not requiring an additional power supply, the DVI-D to VGA converter is easy to use and without any additional device drivers or software. It supports multiple video resolutions such as 1900 x1200, 1600 x 1200, 1280×1024 and 1024×768 (UXGA, SXGA, XGA, SVGA, VGA). HDCP compliant and DDWG DVI compatible, these devices have a VGA bandwidth of 165 MHz and DVI-D bandwidth of 1.6 GHz. Having an in-built DVI-I digital single link connector on the source end and a standard HD15 connector on the display side, these converters make the connection between DVI-D input and the VGA output functional.

On the other hand, the VGA to DVI-D Converter enables connection of computers equipped with HD-15 video connections, to the new DVI (digital visual interface) video display format. Easy to operate, this device works on a plug and play methodology. A user needs to connect the VGA cable to the input side of the converter and DVI monitor or projector to the DVI output. Once this is done, signals are converted from analog to digital. While input resolutions can be automatically detected by this product, the output resolution and refresh rate are selected through the On Screen Display menu and front panel push buttons.

Offering a perfect solution for digital signage applications, conference room presentations, school and corporate training facilities, the Video Converter is one of the most sought after conversion device of today.
